Paper Homework

This was a homework set to us and the task was to use paper to make a item in your room and mine was a lamp similar to this one and when making this the hard part about it was making the inside of the lamp right and making it stay up and not sink down which it kept doing , in the end I found a way to make it stable as well as making the lamp Base because i wanted it to look like the lamp i had but it kept failing so in the end i just did another base for the lamp so it was like combining two lamps I have in to one lamp. and to make up for the base being wrong i decided to add a wire and plug to it and as well on the wire there is a square kind of shape that's the on and off button you can flick for the lamp  . the fun part of this task was making them lamp itself the less enjoyable part was trying to get the base the right shape.

Wiring task mix media

This was the task in which we had to put some of our wiring pieces together and draw them and so this task wasn't really that difficult because  it was just drawing the item in front of us and we have done this a lot for GCSE and year 7-8 the hardest part about it would properly be the painting of the phone as i am not that good at painting  so it was kind of difficult to get the colours right and to make sure that it looked ok and didn't look bad because of the colours.

Cardboard kitchen Homework

This was a homework set to us by our teacher and the homework was to create a item from our kitchen with cardboard and so when thinking of what to make i wanted to be different from everybody else work so i deicide to then make a pair of chopsticks first and so after i wanted to make more so i then started working on a bowl and after that the tea cups and the tea pot then the spoon and the filling of the bowl was just scape cardboard i couldn't use because it was either to small or

had parts missing and wouldn't be useful so instead of wasting them i used it for a filling and then the toaster came after and finally the tray. when doing this homework it was really fun because i got to make so many different things and try this out for the first time and so it was something new , the hardest part i would say was bending the cardboard to make the shapes and planning on how to make the items look real and how they actually look.

Recycle Project Wiring Update

I had already made a post on this , this is just an update on that and to show that i had finished the task and I had covered it in pva glue and tissue paper

Card Phone Task

This is the task in which we where given two pieces of card and a picture on a piece of paper and the task was to make that picture in the two hours given to us. So when first doing the task it was hard because I didn't know anything about this is was new to me but as time when on I figured more and more about the task and it became easy, however due to that I was able to finish it in the two hours or only use 2 pieces of card I instead finished it in my own time and it took me about 3 and half hours to finish and 3 pieces of card. the hardest part about making the phone was the phone itself. I wanted to make it 3d like the rest of it but I couldn't figure out how  in the end I just mad two sides and a middle part and stuck them together with two rolls of card in the top and end so it looks better and more realistic.

Recycle Project Wiring

For this project we were asked to make certain pictures out of wiring and because we had already done so with card and tape I decided to again do the telephone and this picture is the start of the phone with a base and sine being built. In the next picture it is me adding a phone , a top part of the phone and a wire which attaches the phone and with this project it was a lot harder then the making it out of card because the wires would not go in the right position a lot of the time , it would stab in to your fingers , it was a pain to join the wires together because there would always be parts sticking out and so you would have to cut it and then use your nails to bend it around the other wires however it was enjoyable to see my end result and that it came out looking semi decent and not to bad.

Prints Final Project pieces

This is one of my attempts at a final piece and as you can see it didn't really turn out that well because of how I had printed over the top with that bamboo styled collagraph and this had ruined what would have been a good out come however learnt from this and it did help me crate a final piece in the end so you could say it was a stepping stone to success.

This is my second go at the same style as the last one however without the bamboo print over it and the reason for this is because i liked the way the original looked with the print over the top so i decided that i would redo the same background just with a different front on top

This picture is the results of me using silk screen for the first time and this is also gong to be included in my final piece and the reason i had done this is because i needed something to go over the top of my other picture and when talking to my art teacher about it he suggested a building or plant and so the palm house was chosen and to make the picture stand out more i should mix the paints first then do the screening and this turned out really good because i like the way the colours came out and i also like the positions of all the prints and these prints were inspired by an artist called Jo Ann hook and she did similar prints with nature and things over the top and the palm house comes in to play because when i finished making three of these i cut the palm house outline out of the .prints and it looks really good and so then once i finished that i stuck it on top of the other prints and so that's how my final piece came to fruition
