The artist i have decided to research about for lino is James
Abbott McNeill he was an american born , British based artist and the reason was because when i was looking for artist who do lino printing i seen a picture of his work and i was instantly interested because even though his pictures are buildings and ports it was the fact that he used this lino styled type method to draw these pictures. The other artist i have research is Lucas van leydan was among the first Dutch exponents of genre painting and is generally regarded
as a very accomplished
engraver and so this is again because of the title that was given to him so when i look at his pictures it peeked my interest even more because i could see why he was given that nickname

Lino prints second attempt
This is my next attempt at using press printing with lino and this time i have used two colors by printing a couple of first time prints then using the cutting tool to go over my lino plate and cut out the parts i wanted top keep that specific color and so the prints did turn out ok however some prints didn't turn out as successful but i can use those prints to my advantage because it allows me to be able to look what went well and what went wrong and to make my other prints better and not make that mistake so it allows me to develop my work.

Lino work (for printing)
Lino work
This is our lino work which we had made on 2 days ago and this right now was the start of my work in which we had to draw pictures from our sketch book and i had chosen this one because i like the fact it has a bamboo style to it and as well as this picture is also from when we went and visited the palm house.
what i like about this picture is that because of how difficult it was drawing on the lino with a cutting tool a lot of the shapes turned out well and the lines also well shown in the picture
what i dislike about the picture is that a lot of the shapes aren't in the right place its wonky , its tilted some of the lines are to thin while some of the lines are to fat however what i can learn from this is that i have a basic idea of lino and how to draw with it and i can use this and apply it to when i next make another lino based drawing because of the experience i have already gained
Pictures
The top one is my first time using the lino and the bottom one is me then making improvements and making my work more interesting instead of have a black background with nothing on

Final chalk drawing
Saturday, 2 January 2016
collage P.H
this is again related to the palm house and this is from when we drew the pictures then used double sided tape and then used string where the drawing was and to finish we put varnish over it and then we used these colored sheets to put over the drawings and we used oil pastels to go over the paper and then once we had enough made this collage in which this is the front of the palm house with to leaves on either side
palm class
this is a chalk drawing again of the palm house however this is class work and when drawing the work we were told that it has to be in these two chalks when drawing so that's why its only orange and white
